College Save - Scholarship Savings and More!

We have partnered with CollegeSave and our providing a FREE membership in CollegeSave to all NAWU 831 members. Through this partnership we are providing access to a program with over 380 private colleges in 45 states that are willing to discount their tuition to attract good qualified students to their schools. These are solid schools (80% are on the U.S. News and World Report list of "America's Best Colleges").

The schools have already budgeted the tuition savings scholarships to attract more applicants and attend if accepted under standard admission criteria. The most popular participating colleges at this time in the East are, NY - Rensseler Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Rochester Institute of Technology, Union College, Clarkson University. NJ - Fairleigh Dickinson University and PA - Le Salle University.

For a complete list of participating colleges, please click on enroll, enter all required information and hit submit. You will then receive via email a welcome email with login credentials to the CollegeSave portal where you access the full current list of schools.

831 Members automatically receive 1,000 Tuition Rewards® points, worth $1,000 in tuition savings at participating colleges and universities each and every year they are a Local 831 member. Each member will have a unique Account Number tied to their email adress and a Passcode to enter online to enter their recipient information.831 members can access their personal scholarship account. All children in a union member’s family are eligible (child, grandchild, stepchild, niece or nephew); at our website, the adult recipient simply assigns the scholarship points to his/her enrolled students.

• The 350 + schools are obligated contractually to honor the scholarships. Participating students have received over $100 million in scholarships since the program’s inception – $26 million in tuition savings were redeemed in 2012 and another $33.0 million were redeemed in 2013! The only requirement is that the student be admitted to one of the 350+ schools on standard admission criteria; the tuition discounts are redeemed in four equal installments -- in the student’s freshman, sophomore, junior and senior year of college.
